Brendan Schaub responded to Nate Diaz with a passionate promo.
On his podcast last week, Schaub emotionally shared about his friend Shane Carwin’s financial and physical struggles. Diaz then took a personal shot at Schaub in response.
This week on The Schaub Show, the former UFC heavyweight, now comedian and podcaster, provided his rebuttal.
“This is just internet gossip,” Schaub remarked. “This is just to keep him relevant. He needs this to stay current.”
“I retired 15 years ago. This isn’t real. What’s real is I will beat you up,” Schaub stated firmly.
Diaz is seeking his next fight after a boxing match victory over Jorge Masvidal, while Schaub acknowledges Diaz’s fighting achievements.
“He’s had some great fights, tough dude, I don’t care. I know I’m tough,” Schaub asserted.
“I don’t have to prove it every day because I’m insecure. At the end of the day, I will twist your neck off,” Schaub continued.
“I wouldn’t bash you, even though you’ve been a jerk to me. That’s what men do, bud,” Schaub emphasized.
“You’re no different than others with their acts. Tough guys don’t tweet at other men,” Schaub criticized Diaz.
Schaub retired in 2014 after a loss to Travis Browne, but he still has the fighting spirit.
“If you want a fight Nate, I’m ready,” Schaub challenged Diaz.
“I’m not hard to find. Pull up. I’ll handle it one-on-one,” Schaub called out Diaz.
Diaz responded to Schaub’s comments on Twitter, using Schaub’s famous quote.
“I think you’d be surprised,” Diaz wrote.
