The Phoenix Suns have brought on Brent Barry as an assistant coach to join Mike Budenholzer’s coaching staff. Barry has shifted from a front office role with the San Antonio Spurs, where he worked for the last six seasons, to coaching. Prior to his time in the front office, Barry had a background in media. He served as Vice President of Basketball Operations starting in 2018 and later transitioned to become the general manager of the Austin Spurs in 2023.
Barry had a notable 14-season career as a player in the NBA, playing for teams such as the LA Clippers, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Seattle SuperSonics, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets.
