Brittney Griner, a prominent figure in the WNBA, has recently garnered attention for her changed appearance after returning from Russia. During her time in Russia, Griner cut off her signature dreads, but she has now revealed her intention to grow her hair back through a post on her Instagram story.
“I sure am,” Griner enthusiastically responded. “Curl BG was cool but Dread head BG is better!”
Entering her 12th WNBA season, Griner remains a standout player with an impressive track record. Not only has she excelled on the court, but she has also been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, solidifying her status as a future Hall-of-Famer.

Griner will be part of the Phantom Basketball Club in the upcoming Unrivaled League, featuring a unique 3×3 full-court format. The league’s inaugural season is scheduled to kick off in January 2025 from Miami, Florida, with TV coverage provided by TNT and streaming options available.
