During Friday’s practice, it was business as usual for the Bucs, who were gearing up for their Monday night football game. Lavonte David, Bucky Irving, Greg Gaines, and Sterling Shepard were all absent once again.

Bucky Irving’s absence was expected due to a chronic toe injury. The team is conducting a “Bucky Walkthrough” to keep him in sync with the team’s plans.
Offensive coordinator Liam Coen shared, “That’s what we did last week before our Saturday practice in there. We had another walkthrough prior to that as a unit, and it was really a Bucky walkthrough. So, we’re going to continue to have to do that and catch him up to speed.”
Sterling Shepard and Lavonte David were both missing from practice, but Shepard was seen running separately as he nears his return. David’s presence in the locker room bodes well for his availability in Monday’s game against the Chiefs.

Friday’s practice saw a notable addition to the injury report, with Antoine Winfield Jr. listed with a foot injury and limited participation. This is reminiscent of the foot injury that previously kept him out for several weeks.
Rookie Tykee Smith showed progress by upgrading from a non-contact jersey to a regular practice jersey, indicating he is closer to clearing concussion protocol. His status is being monitored for Saturday.
