OLB Yaya Diaby

Despite underwhelming defensive play overall, Yaya Diaby stood out with an exceptional performance. From nearly sacking Spencer Rattler on the first snap, Diaby continued to disrupt the backfield throughout the game. In the first half alone, the second-year outside linebacker recorded three tackles for loss, matching his career high.

Diaby achieved his career-high fourth tackle for loss in the third quarter by securing the team’s first sack of the day. It was arguably his best game of the season, showcasing his standout performance amidst a struggling defense.

WR Jalen McMillan

In the fourth quarter, Jalen McMillan redeemed himself in a significant way.

Despite a prior unsportsmanlike penalty that incited crowd backlash, McMillan made up for it with a 32-yard touchdown catch to put the Bucs in the lead.

McMillan’s consistent touchdowns over the past five games have placed him in elite company to conclude his rookie year with his eighth touchdown and notable receiving stats.

RB Bucky Irving

Bucky Irving shone in the ground game, particularly in the second half where he showcased an impressive performance. Irving’s contributions included 89 rushing yards on 19 carries and an impactful 11-yard touchdown late in the game.

Although his touchdown coincided with wide receiver Mike Evans nearing a significant milestone, fans were pleased as Irving’s score secured the game and Evans reached his milestone shortly after.

Mike Evans delivered crucial catches and conversions, accumulating 89 receiving yards to surpass 1,000 yards for the 11th consecutive year. His achievement tied him with Jerry Rice for the longest streak of 1,000-yard receiving seasons in NFL history. Evans’ key plays on third downs were instrumental in the game’s outcome.

Chase McLaughlin contributed significantly with a 52-yard field goal in the first quarter, showcasing his reliability throughout the season. His impressive performance included an 8-for-10 record on field goals from 50 yards and beyond, solidifying his reputation as a top NFL kicker.

Establishing himself as one of the league’s best kickers, McLaughlin connected on all field goal attempts and extra points in the game.

QB Baker Mayfield As De Facto RB2

While running back Rachaad White saw no action, Sean Tucker received two carries. Surprisingly, Baker Mayfield excelled as the team’s de facto RB2 with nine carries for 68 rushing yards, including a career-high 28-yard scramble in the fourth quarter.
