Facets have caused a lot of balance chaos in the game. Some heroes excel with one facet but become weak with another. However, there are heroes that are struggling in the current meta regardless of the facet they choose. These heroes are in need of a buff, and we will examine them closely today.
The hero that used to be a powerhouse is now in a bad spot. His abilities are weaker, offer less flexibility, and do not fit well in the current meta. The ability to delay damage is not as effective in a meta where heroes are extremely tanky. Additionally, the hero’s burst damage is lacking, and his Tidebringer ability is not impactful against highly armored heroes. Trying to build the hero for physical damage is not a viable strategy as well.
We believe that with minor direct buffs and a reduction in game-wide survivability, the hero could become relevant again. However, for now, he is not recommended for play in the current patch.
Spectre is struggling due to the separation of her strengths into different facets. Choosing between being mobile and dealing damage has made her less effective. We propose that her “Twist the Knife” facet should be a default part of her kit. Her facets should focus on making her an aggressive glass cannon character with one aspect enhancing her damage and the other improving her survivability.
It might be possible for her to excel in a less tanky meta, but without significant buffs to her laning stage and midgame, her comeback seems unlikely.
Despite being a prominent hero for a long time, Furion now needs a buff. He struggles to farm efficiently, have an impact in lane, and his facets are underwhelming. While his global mobility ability was rightfully nerfed, the hero requires buffs or a remaster to be viable again.
Luna, a flash-farming carry, is currently overshadowed by other carry heroes due to her lack of strong solo-target damage potential. Although she can farm quickly, her actual power in teamfights is lacking. Improving the search radius on her Glaives or adding talents could enhance her performance, but she struggles against the survivability levels of current enemy heroes.
While these heroes are not unplayable, they are on the weaker side in the current meta. Their win rates in some skill brackets are below 45%. Share your thoughts on our list and whether you believe these heroes can be made viable with certain adjustments.
