Former SoCon Freshman of the Year Kennedy Langham has signed an athletic aid agreement to join the Butler women’s basketball program for the 2025-26 season. Langham is a 5-7 guard from Harvest, Alabama. She played two seasons at Samford and will have two years of eligibility left at BU.
Â
“Kennedy is a combo guard who can score at the rim and has a very good midrange jump shot,” Head Coach Austin Parkinson stated. “I like how she plays in ball screens, and I think she can be an excellent on-ball defender.”
Â
A year ago, Langham made the All-Southern Conference Second Team by averaging 11.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. She started in all 31 games, reached double figures 19 times, and led the team in minutes (30 per contest). Langford made a team-high 90 free throws, ranked second in assists (72) and was third on the team with 107 rebounds.

She was recognized as the SoCon Freshman of the Year in 2023-24 and clearly earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team. That year, Langham played in all 30 games, earning 13 starts. She averaged 8.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. The talented guard topped 10 points 10 times and scored a career-high 26 points at Furman.
Â
Langham attended Sparkman High School and averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game as a senior. Langham is the seventh student-athlete to join the Bulldogs during the off-season. She joins Gabby Wilke (South Dakota), Nevaeh Jackson (Valpo), Saniya Jackson (Valpo), Caroline Dotsey (Maine), Mallory Miller (Arizona State), and McKenna Johnson (Minnesota) as newcomers to the program.
