The Butler women’s basketball program will host Central Michigan, Northern Kentucky, Milwaukee, Indiana State and Eastern Illinois this year at Hinkle Fieldhouse. This announcement gives BU six total non-conference matchups at home, pairing these tips with the already released Kids Day game against Wright State on Nov. 3.
BU will host Central Michigan on Wednesday, Nov. 12 renewing a series that hasn’t seen action since 1998! The Bulldogs are 2-0 all-time against the Chippewas with the first win coming in tournament action at Arizona State back in December of 1995. The last battle was a home win just three games into the 1998-99 campaign.
That weekend, BU will host Northern Kentucky on Sunday, Nov. 16. This will be the fourth overall meeting between the two programs with Butler leading the way 2-1. The Norse won the inaugural matchup in 1983, and BU collected wins in both 2012 and 2013.
One week later, Butler will host Milwaukee on Nov. 23. Milwaukee will make the trip to Indianapolis this year after the Bulldogs played the Panthers at the Klotsche Center last November. The all-time series between these former league foes is knotted up at 20-20.
Moving ahead, the Bulldogs will host Indiana State on Thursday, Dec. 11, and just three days later, will invite the Eastern Illinois Panthers to Hinkle Fieldhouse on Dec. 14. Butler and Indiana State first faced off in the 1982-83 season with the Bulldogs coming out on top. They also won against the Sycamores last year to increase their all-time series lead 17-13.
Eastern Illinois is a program that holds the upper hand against Butler in the all-time series (10-5). The first ever meeting was a Panther win back in 1981. The Bulldogs won the last meeting in 2018.
Tip times for all these contests will be announced at a later date. The full non-conference schedule is still coming together and will be released as soon as possible.
The 2025-26 Bulldog roster currently features three returners, two incoming freshmen and seven transfers. Head Coach Austin Parkinson has guided Butler to back-to-back WNIT appearances, including a trip to the Super 16 just one year ago.
Season tickets for the 2025-26 basketball season are on sale now. The Bulldogs will once again host nine BIG EAST rivals at Hinkle Fieldhouse, including national champion UConn.
