Butler University Athletics has partnered with Altius Sports Partners to provide Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) advisory services through its ASP Academy program. This program aims to support Bulldog athletes, coaches, and staff by offering access to NIL experts and tailored educational resources.
The ASP Academy will provide ongoing education, advisory services, and workshops catered to Butler’s specific NIL and athlete compensation needs. This program aligns with the university’s commitment to the success of its athletes as part of the Big East Conference since 2013.
Grant Leiendecker, Vice President/Director of Athletics at Butler, stated, “Investing in our student athletes’ futures is essential. This program equips them with vital commercial knowledge and enhances the overall athletic experience. By partnering with ASP, we’re bringing in experts to help us stay on the cutting edge of NIL developments and set strategic guidance for the future of athlete compensation.”
ASP’s team will work with Butler’s athletics department to support its NIL and revenue-sharing strategy, offering customized guidance for coaches, staff, and athletes on compliance, personal branding, finances, athlete compensation, and maximizing NIL opportunities.
Brittney Whiteside, Vice President of ASP College at Altius Sports Partners, added, “ASP Academy is designed to empower athletes through education. Our guidance sets a standard for excellence in collegiate sports and enables schools to invest comprehensively in the athlete experience.”
Established in 2022, ASP Academy offers expert NIL guidance to collegiate athletics programs like the University of Nevada, the University of North Alabama, Tulane University, and the University of Delaware, along with Butler University. ASP aims to expand this initiative to provide advisory support and customized education to athletes and stakeholders at all levels of collegiate athletics.
