Gulf Coast Showcase Bracket
ESTERO, Fla. – Butler women’s basketball team is set to compete in the upcoming Gulf Coast Showcase tournament. Taking place from Friday, Nov. 29 to Sunday, Dec. 1 at Hertz Arena, this year’s tournament will feature eight teams including Butler, Boise State, High Point, Illinois State, New Mexico State, Santa Clara, Texas, and West Virginia.
Boise State will face Illinois State in the first game on Nov. 29, followed by a matchup between West Virginia and High Point. The Bulldogs will take on Santa Clara at 5 PM in the bottom half of the bracket, with Texas facing off against New Mexico State in the nightcap.
Most teams in the tournament advanced to postseason play last year, with Texas making it to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament and West Virginia reaching the second round. Butler, Boise State, and Illinois State participated in the WNIT, while High Point and Santa Clara competed in the WBIT. Six of the eight teams in the field had 20 or more wins last season.
The tournament schedule includes:
Boise State vs. Illinois State – 11 a.m. ET
West Virginia vs. High Point – 1:30 p.m.
Butler vs. Santa Clara – 5 p.m.
Texas vs. New Mexico State – 7:30 p.m.
Semifinal games will be held on Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with the championship game set for Sunday at 7:30 p.m. All games will be streamed live on FloHoops.
