6-2 forward Gabby Wilke has signed an athletic aid agreement to join the Butler women’s basketball program for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Wilke will have three years of eligibility remaining after spending her freshman campaign at South Dakota. She averaged 5.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game for the Coyotes.
“Gabby first and foremost is a winner and brings that mentality to our team,” Head Coach Austin Parkinson said. “Her ability to stretch the floor from the 3-point line as well as score on the block makes her a tough matchup to defend.”
Wilke was reliable for the Coyotes as a true freshman, appearing in all 31 games while averaging nearly 20 minutes of playing time per contest. She was inserted into the starting lineup 16 times and posted career numbers in a home win over Kansas City. Wilke went 5-for-7 from 3-point range against the Roos to score a team-high 21 points. She also impacted the outcome in a win over Northern Arizona with 13 points and a career-high eight rebounds.
Prior to her time in South Dakota, Wilke was a two-time Conference Player of the Year honoree at Beaver Dam High School. She led the Beavers to two conference titles and garnered All-State honors.
Wilke is the newest member of the Bulldog family, but the program is expected to make more roster announcements very soon.
