Cage Warriors Unplugged: Final Card Insights

With just over 24 hours to go until the bell time, the fighters hit the scales at Manchester’s Holiday Inn on Thursday morning ahead of Friday night’s Cage Warriors: Unplugged.

As confirmed earlier in the week, an injury to Lucas Clay has forced the cancelation of his scheduled title bout against George Hardwick. CW officials will now look to match the lightweight champion on next week’s CW 186 card in London.

The newly promoted main event between Brazil’s Andrey Augusto and American Anthony Orozco is good to go, as the American tipped the scales at 170.7lbs for his first ever CW main event. His opponent, Brazilian veteran Andrey Augusto, registered a weight of 169.6lbs.

Leandro Carmago was unable to make the contracted 153lbs for his bout against American Damon Wilson (151.3lbs). The Brazilian opted not to cut further weight and will be fined a percentage of his purse.

Danny Hartwell was able to come in under the light-heavyweight limit on the second time of asking, after originally registering a weight of 207.3lbs. Opponent Nell Ariano tipped the scales at 204.7lbs.

All other fighters made weight successfully, as such the card proceeds as planned with 8 bouts.
