After a legendary college career at Iowa, the Caitlin Clark phenomenon has continued at the WNBA level.
The first overall pick and 2024 All-Star is in the midst of a fantastic rookie campaign, averaging 18.9 points, 8.4 assists and 5.8 rebounds. Behind the strength of her impressive play, the Indiana Fever clinched its first playoff berth since 2016.
Clark has set quite a few records since joining the professional ranks including the most assists and three-pointers by a rookie in league history as well as the most consecutive point-assist double-doubles by a rookie.
Now, the superstar has added another accolade to her repertoire. On Friday night against the Minnesota Lynx, Clark set the Fever franchise record for three-pointers made by a rookie. This came just four days after Clark set the Indiana franchise record for points by a rookie in a season.
Clark entered the WNBA with sky-high expectations, but she’s living up to them so far and is the runaway favorite to win the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award. Setting yet another franchise rookie record certainly helps her case.
