WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark has been spotted showcasing a muscular physique as she supported Iowa in their Big Ten defeat to Ohio State. The 23-year-old was the top pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft after a record-breaking stint at Iowa, where she became the highest-scoring player in NCAA history, regardless of gender.
Her rookie year saw her average 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game, setting several records including the single-game assist record (19). Despite being pushed around on court during her debut season due to the physicality of professional play, it appears Clark has taken steps to ensure this won’t be an issue in her second season.
After Iowa’s elimination from the Big Ten Tournament by Ohio State, Clark was photographed by Bri Lewerke, showing off her impressive muscles. The image, captioned “Well someone’s been in the weight room @CaitlinClark22.”
The post prompted excited reactions from fans, with one commenting: “Her bully count for next season just dropped by 40 percent” and another adding: “They won’t be pushing her around next year.”
One fan added: “Free tickets to the gun show,” whilst another drew parallels to Michael Jordan’s transformation, saying: “I remember when MJ came back ripped to overcome the Pistons. 2.0.”
Indiana Fever’s head coach Stephanie White praised Clark on ‘Sports Media with Richard Deitsch’, stating: “She figured out right away that I need to get stronger… She’s done a great job of getting in the weight room and focusing on her strength, in terms of low center of gravity, time under tension, all of those things.”
Named to the All-WNBA First Team, Clark led the Fever to their first playoff berth since 2016 and is at the forefront of a revolution in women’s sports. Despite sitting out the new 3×3 league Unrivaled, she appears to have bulked up for her second WNBA season.
