Caitlin Clark had an impressive performance, scoring 23 points and dishing out nine assists to lead the Indiana Fever to a 92-75 victory over the Seattle Storm on Sunday.
Clark set a new WNBA rookie record with 232 assists this season, surpassing the previous record of 224 set by Ticha Penicheiro in 1998. She has been on fire lately, scoring over 20 points in five of her last six games and averaging 23.7 points and 11.7 assists over that span.
Kelsey Mitchell contributed 27 points, hitting 10 of 19 shots from the field and 5 of 8 from beyond the arc. Lexie Hull added a career-high 22 points, making 8 of 10 shots, including six 3-pointers. Aliyah Boston chipped in with nine points and a career-high eight assists for Indiana.
The game was close until Indiana went on a late run, led by clutch plays from Hull and Mitchell. The Fever’s solid performance secured the victory with a final score of 92-75.
Indiana’s win marks their fourth victory in the last five games, showing significant improvement from the start of the season. With the win, the Fever have matched their total number of wins from the previous season with 12 games remaining in the regular season.
