Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is still on a high from what turned out to be a memorable first senior tournament for Team USA. After a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a groin injury, Clark marked her comeback with an MVP-level performance in the FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Clark led Team USA to a perfect 5-0 record in the tournament behind averages of 11.6 points on 52.9% shooting, 1.6 rebounds, a tournament-best 6.4 assists and 2.0 triples in 21.2 minutes per game.

This was Clark’s first senior tournament for the national squad, and she made sure to leave her mark.

Some big news came out of the WNBA just hours after Team USA’s tournament in Puerto Rico. This came in the form of the league reportedly securing a verbal agreement with the players’ union on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This means that the new season will proceed as scheduled in May.
This major turn of events was then followed by a development involving Clark. This involved the 24-year-old emerging as the joint favorite to win the WNBA Most Valuable Player Award for the 2026 season.

As of writing, Fanduel has Clark tied with reigning MVP A’ja Wilson as the favorite to win the title this coming season.
This development has caused quite a stir on social media. Clark’s fans are adamant that 2026 will be her year.
“If the reffing is fair that’s CC’s MVP for the rest of her career man,” a comment on X read.
“Clark would win 7 straight MVPs if they didn’t hold her for dear life every possession lmaoooo…. @WNBA please change y’all rulebook,” demanded another.

“Oh my goodness here we go 🔥” a supporter wrote.
Others, however, were not quite ready to hand over the title to the Fever superstar.
“Despite all the love I have for CC, I don’t understand how a guard can be the favorite in W,” a reaction read.
“Who makes these odds? Teens at home on their gaming headsets?” a user asked.
“This is a joke,” said another.
It is worth noting that Clark’s MVP odds have increased significantly during the offseason. In October, she was second behind Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx with +310 odds.

Apart from Fanduel, other betting websites also consider Clark to be the current odds-on favorite to win MVP. In fact, the consensus has Clark at +260 odds above Wilson (+275) and Collier (+382).
The most important thing for Clark, however, is that she stays healthy. Multiple injuries got in the way of her second season with the Fever, with the former Rookie of the Year limited to just 13 games in 2025.
