WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark was left in disbelief after coming close to hitting a hole-in-one while playing golf with her Indiana Fever team-mate Lexie Hull.
Clark, who is taking a break from basketball after an impressive rookie season in the WNBA, is focusing on improving her golf game during the off-season.
During a practice session with Hull for an upcoming LPGA Tour event hosted by Annika Sorenstam, the pair recorded themselves playing a par three hole.
Clark took her shot and almost sunk it off the tee, causing excitement and anticipation among the Fever stars. However, the ball narrowly missed the hole, leading to Clark’s disbelief and eventual recovery to make a birdie putt.
Her near-perfect shot has instilled fear in her upcoming opponents, as she has expressed aspirations of pursuing a professional golf career during her break from basketball.
The LPGA Tour even reached out to Clark in the video comments, jokingly asking if she is considering joining their league.
While some of Clark’s colleagues have opted for different basketball opportunities, she is determined to focus on golf and enjoy her time away from the court.
After being eliminated from the play-offs, Clark revealed her plans to continue golfing until the weather gets colder in Indiana, jokingly mentioning her goal to become a professional golfer.
Her participation in the upcoming LPGA Tour event, The Annika, has further fueled her excitement for playing alongside legendary golfers like Annika Sorenstam.
Clark expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity and is looking forward to the experience of being part of such a prestigious tournament.
