Caitlin Clark led the Indiana Fever to a thrilling 104–100 overtime victory against the Atlanta Dream on Sunday night, improving their season record to 19–17.
Clark scored 26 points and nailed four three-pointers in the game, including a remarkable shot early in the fourth quarter. Despite tight coverage from a Dream defender, Clark managed to sink a fading, falling three-pointer near the corner.
The difficulty level of Clark’s incredible shot cannot be overstated. With a lightning-quick release, she executed the shot over the outstretched hand of her defender while fading towards the corner.
What an impressive shot by Clark.
Already holding the record for most rookie season three-pointers, Clark now has 111 threes this season, the most in the WNBA. This latest one may be her most outstanding yet.
Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty set the record for most threes in a season with 128 during the 2023 season. Clark would need to make 17 more threes in her next four games to tie Ionescu’s record.
