Caitlin Clark has finally made an appearance on the New Heights podcast, where host Jason Kelce revealed that she is “the most requested guest in the history of our show”. The star point guard for the Indiana Fever has had an outstanding debut season in the WNBA, winning the Rookie of the Year title and breaking numerous records.
Clark now holds the record for the highest number of assists in a single season and the most points scored by a rookie. She also became the fastest player ever to reach 100 three-pointers.
The 22-year-old’s incredible transition from college basketball to being named Time magazine’s Female Athlete of the Year shows that she is on a path to greatness. NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce were excited to have the basketball prodigy on their podcast, New Heights. During the introduction, Jason praised Clark as the most anticipated guest and highlighted her impressive achievements over the past year.
He said: “Alrighty, our guest today is a six-foot guard from the University of Iowa. The NCAA all-time division one scoring leader, the first pick of the WNBA draft, WNBA assist leader, All-Star, and 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year. She’s the most requested guest in the history of our show and the Time magazine Athlete of the Year – Miss Caitlin Clark.”
Clark honestly admitted that she is usually not enthusiastic about many things in life, but she made an exception for the podcast, stating that it is “at the top of my list.” This response made Travis laugh, leading him to comment: “We made it, Jason.”
Becoming the most sought-after guest on New Heights is a major achievement for Clark, especially considering the impressive list of celebrities who have appeared on the show, such as NFL legends Rob Gronkowski, Shannon Sharpe, Patrick Mahomes, and global icon Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Clark also revealed that she is a devoted member of the Kansas City Chiefs Kingdom and mentioned that Mahomes and Kelce are currently two of her favorite players from the reigning Super Bowl champions. The 22-year-old also praised Kelce for the team’s recent success and credited her father for instilling her love for the Chiefs.
Clark said: “My dad was a big Chiefs fan while I was growing up, so people might think I’m just a bandwagon Chiefs fan. But that’s not the case, we were fans even before Patrick and Travis, we were loyal supporters. The success that the team has had recently has made it even more enjoyable for us.”
