Caitlin Clark Influences Taylor Swift Indianapolis Takeover as WNBA Star Sets Her Priorities Straight

The WNBA Rookie of the Year was front and center at Swift’s Eras Tour, and her excitement was quite evident on social media. Not only did she join the Swifties in celebrating, but her presence also contributed to breaking the all-time attendance record.

The Lucas Oil Stadium registered a whopping 69,000 tickets sold, the highest than any concert has ever had. “I was told that you guys went ahead and broke the all-time attendance record ever in this stadium!” said Swift herself. But truly, CC was living her best fan life, spamming her Instagram stories.

She enjoyed the concert from a VIP suite alongside her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery. On the first day of the three-day tour, she wrote, “I’m fired up.” She even participated in the Swiftie tradition of exchanging friendship bracelets. Sharing a picture of the stage and her wrist full of bracelets, she penned, “Dedicated.”

Attending concerts back-to-back, her posts reflected pure joy, with one video showing Taylor performing “Enchanted,” her favorite song by the pop star. And the funny part she knew that fans must be surprised to see her posting. “More Caitlin Clark Instagram stories in 2 nights than we’ve gotten all season, thank you, Taylor Swift,” she said,

Even she couldn’t resist chiming in on Indiana Fever’s Instagram. After the Fever shared highlights of her top plays from the season. She commented, “Busy at Eras Tour thanks for the tag tho,” proving she’s a die-hard Swiftie.

The choice of Indiana for the final U.S. leg of the Eras tour was no coincidence. “We’ve gotten to take The Eras Tour all over the world this year,” Caitlin said.

“In 2024, we’ve gone to Australia and Asia, we spent all of our summer in Europe, and we decided: We have got to bring this tour in front of the most dedicated, passionate, enthusiastic, excitable, loud fans. So we decided that the very last U.S. city on The Eras Tour would. In fact, be right here in Indianapolis, Indiana.”

That’s exactly what she found! The energy in the stadium was electric. The numbers broke records and set a precedent for what live events can achieve. With a rich history of hosting major events like the Indianapolis 500, the crowd didn’t shy away from buying tickets for even $13,495.
