The Indiana Fever offense was on fire on Friday night.
A second-half surge from Indiana led the team to a 99-82 victory over the Atlanta Dream.
The Dream held a 45-40 lead at the half and looked poised to take it to the Fever. However, Indiana pushed back with a 29-20 advantage in the third quarter and an 11-2 run to start the fourth pushed the Fever way ahead.
Fever guard Caitlin Clark scored 12 points and had eight assists and four rebounds in 23 minutes. It was not an elite shooting night for the 23-year-old as she went 5-of-17 on field goals and 1-of-7 from three-point range.
While Clark may have had a slight off night, her teammates were more than capable of taking on some pressure. Kelsey Mitchell led the team with 25 points while also adding three assists and a steal. Aliyah Boston contributed 19 points, eight assists and six rebounds in her 100th career game while Sophie Cunningham had 16 points and 10 rebounds off of the bench.
The Dream were led by Jordin Canada’s 30 points. Rhyne Howard contributed 14 points while Britney Griner had 10 points and eight rebounds.
Indiana improves to 10-10 with the victory while Atlanta falls to 12-8. This is the last time the two franchises will meet during the regular season and the series was split 2-2.
Indiana will next be in action on Sunday when they host the Dallas Wings.
