The WNBA season came to a close last week with the Las Vegas Aces capturing their third championship in the last four years. Back-to-back MVP A’ja Wilson once again led the charge, with the Aces eliminating the Indiana Fever along the way.

However, this year’s Fever squad looked noticeably different down the stretch, mainly because it didn’t feature second-year superstar Caitlin Clark, who appeared in just 13 games before suffering a season-ending groin injury prior to the All-Star break.

Now, her focus is fully on recovery. During her exit interview, Clark revealed she’s targeting a return to 5-on-5 basketball later this month. Her progress appears to be trending in the right direction, and she made another exciting personal move set to take center stage soon.

For the second consecutive offseason, Clark—an avid golf lover and skilled player—is set to compete in the LPGA Pro-Am event The Annika on Nov. 12, named after golf legend Annika Sorenstam and featuring a $3.25 million purse.

“I had an amazing time at The Annika last November, participating in the Pro-Am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game,” Clark said in a statement. “I’m honored to be an ambassador for a company like Gainbridge that is so committed to elevating women’s sports. I can’t wait to return to Tampa in November to play in the Pro-Am with the best women golfers in the world.”

Clark didn’t win the LPGA event last year, but she certainly made her presence felt. She appeared to have a great time competing and even had several viral moments throughout the tournament, drawing a massive crowd that followed her from hole to hole. Her participation brought significant attention to women’s sports, generating buzz across social media and throughout the event.

Sorenstam spoke about welcoming Clark back to The Annika this year and shared how much excitement her presence generated during last year’s competition.

“It was an honor to play in the pro-am with Caitlin last year. The crowds were amazing, and we are excited for her return to The Annika in November,” Sorenstam said in a statement. “She added such a great dynamic to our event, and her passion for golf and competitiveness were fun to witness firsthand. I look forward to having her back and continuing to introduce the great game of golf to the next generation.”
