The Indiana Fever hosted the previously undefeated New York Liberty on Saturday afternoon and cracked the 100-point mark for the first time this season. This wasn’t just another game for the Fever, though, as it was the heavily anticipated return of guards Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham.

Clark missed five games leading up to this weekend, while Cunningham had only been available for four out of nine games this season.

The former No. 1 overall pick wasted no time, making an immediate impact on the court, posting 32 points (seven three-pointers), eight rebounds and nine assists in a 102-88 victory at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Clark’s afternoon was highlighted by a sequence in the first quarter, scoring three straight three-pointers in 38 seconds.

Meanwhile, Clark’s performance elevated her past a hall-of-fame name, Candace Parker, as she passed Parker with the most 30/5/5 games in a player’s first two seasons (3).

Parker is a two-time MVP, seven-time All-Star and one of the most decorated athletes in WNBA history. She recorded two games with at least 30 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists during her first two seasons with the Los Angeles Sparks, a feat that had not been passed since 2009.

Indiana crept back into .500 with the win and sits third in the Eastern Conference division. With Clark and Cunningham both back in the lineup, the team won its first home game since June 3 and will look to maintain this upward trajectory into Tuesday’s matchup against the Connecticut Sun. Next Thursday, the Fever will embark on a three‑game road trip.
