Caitlin Clark Sends Clear Message to WNBA After Fever Blow Out Liberty originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever are just .500 on the season, but star point guard Caitlin Clark sent a loud and clear message to the rest of the WNBA after her return against the New York Liberty over the weekend.

Clark went down with a quad injury on May 24, the last time Indiana hosted New York at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever welcomed the Liberty back to Indy exactly three weeks later with a healthy Clark on the floor.
Clark proceeded to drop 32 points, adding nine assists, eight rebounds, two blocks and a steal in a 14-point blowout victory (102-88). Clark tied a career-high with seven made 3-point buckets, as Indiana handed New York (9-1) its first loss of the season.

It was the first time the Fever scored 100 points or more in a game this year, and they did so on the strength of five players scoring in double-digits: Kelsey Mitchell, 22 points; Lexie Hull, 14 points; Aliyah Boston, 10 points; and Sydney Colson, 10 points.

The message that Clark sent to the league via her play was obvious: the Fever are a force to be reckoned with at full strength.
And the way her teammates played backed that up in a real way, given how well the entire squad played top to bottom — both the starting lineup and the bench. The Fever played eight players at least 10 minutes in the victory over the reigning WNBA champions on Saturday.
Clark put words behind her performance during an on-court, postgame interview with the ABC broadcast team immediately following the final whistle.
“I feel good. I thought my rotations were good,” Clark said. “I feel strong. I felt good. I thought we played a good game. I thought there was still a lot we could improve on.”

Indiana will next take the court on Tuesday, June 17, against the Connecticut Sun in Indianapolis.
