The Aces secured a 78-74 victory on Friday night. Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark had a record-breaking performance for the Fever, scoring 18 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and dishing out nine assists. Clark set a new WNBA single-season record for assists with 321.
Gray had an impressive 7 of 11 shooting from the field and added six assists. Kelsey Plum also played a key role for the Aces, scoring 18 points, including four three-pointers. Jackie Young pitched in with 12 points.
Despite Clark’s strong performance in the second half, where she scored 14 points, the Fever fell short. The Aces maintained their lead, with Gray and Plum making crucial plays down the stretch. Indiana made a late push, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Aces’ lead.
Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 20 points, with Aliyah Boston scoring 14 points and Damiris Dantas adding 11 points. Clark struggled in the first half, going scoreless and picking up fouls.
The Aces completed a sweep of the regular-season series against the Fever with this victory, having also won their previous matchup on Wednesday.
