Under the glow of Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indiana basketball wasn’t just on display—it was making a statement. The Fever’s core, led by Caitlin Clark, wasn’t just there to watch; they were there to represent. Less than 24 hours after competing in Miami’s Unrivaled showcase, Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull traveled 1,208 miles back to Indianapolis. And standing with them, fresh to the squad but already part of the family, was five-time WNBA All-Star DeWanna Bonner, taking in the moment with her new teammates.

It was a moment of Indiana supporting Indiana in celebration of the National Girls and Women in Sports. “Indiana Hoops supporting Indiana Hoops. Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Lexi Hull, and DeWanna Bonner in the house! @IndianaFever x @Pacers,” NBA’s X account shared.

Just a day earlier, Boston and Hull were competing at Unrivaled in Miami. But here they are, celebrating the Fever Night and cheering the Pacers out loud from the courtside as they took on the New York Knicks.

As of the moment this is being reported, the visiting team under the leadership of Karl Anthony Towns beat the Pacers 128-115. You’d catch Caitlin Clark hyping the crowd if you looked close and it wouldn’t be a surprise.

The Pacers, and specifically Tyrese Haliburton, have been a frequent presence at Fever games. “Hope y’all seeing what 22 doin at Gainbridge,” he’d also tweeted in reference to Clark earlier this past season. So it was no shocker the Pacers showed up in ‘Indiana Fever’ and ‘WNBA’ outfits, celebrating female athletes ahead of the game either. Haliburton would pull up in an Ann Meyers jersey while Obi Toppin flaunted a t-shirt with Caitlin Clark on it.

“reppin’ @indianafever & @wnba fits for Fever Night,” the franchise shared.

Apart from cheering on the Pacers, the Fever stars also indulged in some fan interactions, clicked a few pictures, and signed autographs. The energy was electric, but the Knicks just had to play spoil sport on Indiana soil.

Although it looked like a close game in the 3rd quarter with the Knicks leading by just 5 points with a score of 91-86, the Knicks dominated the final stretch, outscoring the Pacers 37-29 in the fourth quarter to secure a convincing 128-115 victory. Indiana, despite a strong start, couldn’t keep pace as New York’s offensive firepower took over late in the game. Karl-Anthony Towns led the charge with a dominant 40-point performance, while Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart contributed key buckets to extend the lead.

Indiana had its moments, especially with Pascal Siakam’s efficient scoring and Tyrese Haliburton’s playmaking keeping them within striking distance. However, the Pacers struggled to find consistency from beyond the arc, shooting just 29% from three compared to the Knicks’ 37%. The rebounding battle also proved costly, as New York outrebounded Indiana 48-36, leading to second-chance points that made the difference.

Despite the loss, the night was about more than just basketball. Clark, Boston, and Hull’s courtside energy was a reminder that the Fever and Pacers are part of a larger movement, supporting each other as they continue to elevate the game.
