The WNBA offseason was filled with lots of storylines.
But one that flew under the radar was the most talented teammate that joined the Indiana Fever to play with Caitlin Clark and company.
The Fever signed DeWanna Bonner as a free agent.
Bonner is one of the most talented players in league history, a six-time All-Star and a walking bucket.
She’s 37 now, but the two-time WNBA champion remains dangerous with the ball in her hands.
Bonner ranks fourth in WNBA history in total points. She’s likely a future Hall of Famer.
The lanky scorer ranks just seven points shy of overtaking Tina Thompson for third overall on the all-time scoring list.
Bonner needs just 215 points to be the WNBA’s second-leading scorer ever.

All that to say: This is a huge partner for Clark.
Indiana already had the young talent of Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston as two potent players who can put the ball in the basket.
Having Bonner, too, could be a nightmare for other teams.
“I couldn’t be more excited to step on the floor with Caitlin,” Bonner told the Fever website. “…I hope that I can give her some knowledge and take her game to a bigger level, so when I retire, she can pass that along to other players.”
At 6-foot-4, Bonner will also be exactly the kind of versatile defender that is key come playoff time.
This will mark Bonner’s 16th year in the WNBA.
The Fever and Clark are hoping that it’s one of her best.
