Former Stanford Cardinal Cameron Brink had a standout college career and was drafted No. 2 overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the recent WNBA Draft. She quickly became a key player for the team, starting 15 games and averaging 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game before suffering a season-ending ACL injury in June. Despite this setback, Brink was recognized for her early potential by being named one of the top-five highest rated WNBA rookies in the NBA 2K25 player ratings reveal.
Brink will have an 80 overall rating at launch, tying with teammate Rickea Jackson. She ranks behind Kamilla Cardoso, Angel Reese, and Caitlin Clark in the rookie ratings, with Reese and Clark being the only rookies rated in the 90s.
Despite being named to the United States 3×3 Women’s Basketball team for the Paris Olympics, Brink had to withdraw due to her injury but was expected to play a significant role if she had been able to participate.
Coming from Mountainside High School in Oregon, Brink chose Stanford over top schools and made an immediate impact, helping her team win a national championship and earning numerous accolades throughout her college career.
Currently out with an injury, Brink’s absence has affected the struggling Sparks team. However, with a young and promising roster, she is expected to make a full recovery for the 2025 season and lead her team to success.
