One might imagine that it would be difficult to get through to Cameron Brink by social media DM considering the number of followers she has. So her now-fiancé, Ben Felton, had an alternative way of getting the attention of the forward, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Sparks.
While they were still classmates at Stanford, where Brink was the star who helped lead the Cardinal to two national title games in four seasons and Felton was on the rowing team, he didn’t take the direct message approach to pursuing Brink. Instead, he sent her an email.
“Hey Cameron, Wanted to chat you up but I think dms are a bit creepy. Not that an email is much better so here’s my number,” Felton wrote in the email, including his digits at the end.
Safe to say, Felton made his shot.
The couple have been dating since March 2021 and got engaged in September 2024, when Felton proposed to Brink at the Shangri-La Paris Hotel in France. He surprised her with the engagement after Brink participated in a Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week, according to Yahoo.
Brink says she hopes the two can say “I do” at the Memorial Church on Stanford’s campus, according to People.
