If you’re familiar with Camilo Villegas’s journey, it’s impossible not to root for him. He’s weathered more than his fair share of adversity. Although 2025 hasn’t been his best year, just seeing him back on the PGA Tour was plenty for any Villegas fan. We took a look at the clubs he is playing in 2025, a chaotic mix of brands, models and lofts that makes it an interesting one to examine.

Camilo’s iron setup blends the more forgiving Srixon ZXi5 in the long to mid irons with the precision shaping of the ZXi7 in the scoring clubs.
Srixon combo sets are becoming increasingly popular on the PGA Tour.
JJ Spaun used Srixon irons to win the 2025 US Open. Keegan Bradley, Sepp Straka and Andrew Novak also have them in the bag.
The ZXi7 won the best player’s irons of 2025 in our testing. It won the best for forgiveness and accuracy, and it’s not all that far behind in distance.
The zero-torque putter play
If you want to continue on the topic of what’s trending in PGA Tour golf bags in 2025, L.A.B. putters would be right up there. While the exact Mezz.1 Max wasn’t in our 2025 Best Zero Torque Putters test, the L.A.B. OZ.1i was. It was the best overall zero-torque putter of 2025.
Zero-torque putters can reduce face rotation and promote consistency.
The hybrid and wood situation
Viellegas goes back and forth between the TaylorMade Qi35 and the older TaylorMade M4 fairway wood. We’ve seen more pros, like Justin Thomas and Jhonnathan Vegas, hanging on to older woods in 2025.
The most interesting thing in this bag is probably the 5-hybrid at 24 degrees. While most tour pros opt for a 19- to 21-degree hybrid, Camilo’s choice gives him a softer landing option into long par-3s or reachable par-5s. He still carries the 5-iron in the bag as well. The hybrid is not a replacement, just an additional tool.
Equipment contracts? Not here.
There’s no sign Camilo is locked into a single-brand equipment deal. There are four different brands in his bag. He plays the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball.
Final thoughts
Camilo Villegas’s 2025 WITB is a reminder that golf gear doesn’t have to be uniform to be effective. If you’ve got an old hybrid or a lucky 3-wood still in your bag, it must have earned its place. Another thing to look at here is the mix of brands. Villegas is testing outside of one brand name, something all players should do.
