Canelo Alvarez recalls the moment when his coach and good friend, Eddy Reynoso, had to assist him with a bathroom break just before his fight with Miguel Cotto in November 2015. With the commission already taping him up, Canelo found himself in a tricky situation and turned to Reynoso for help.
Reynoso, who has been Canelo’s trainer since he was a child, stepped in to lend a hand. During a recent podcast chat with Big Boy, Canelo humorously recounted the incident in his English accent.
When asked about the protocol for bathroom breaks during the taping process, Canelo shared the comical story of how Reynoso had to assist him in that moment of need, preventing a potential wardrobe malfunction.
The amusing exchange between Canelo and Reynoso highlighted the strong bond they share, which has only been further solidified over the years. Despite the unusual circumstances, their partnership remains strong as they continue to achieve success in the boxing world.
As they gear up to face Edgar Berlanga on September 14th in Las Vegas, Canelo and Reynoso will once again showcase their enduring partnership. No matter what challenges arise, Canelo knows he can always rely on Eddy by his side.
