Chicago Sky All-Star forward Angel Reese exhibited her unique sense of style and willingness to take risks once again, as she sported exquisite attire to welcome the new year. Reese posed in a stunning brown and champagne-colored dress with a plunging neckline.
She shared the photos on Instagram on Wednesday with the caption indicating her determination to continue being unapologetically herself in 2025. The 22-year-old athlete wrote:
“Two things can be true. 2025, ima keep getting finer & yall gon keep getting mad💋🤎”
Angel Reese’s followers reacted to her post in the comments section. Some of the commenters include La La Anthony, the ex-wife of former NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, and McKenzie Caldwell-Pope, the partner of two-time NBA champion Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
“😍😍😍😍,” La La Anthony commented.
McKenzine, whose husband has amassed a career NBA earnings of $126,005,255 in 12 years in the NBA, praised the Sky star for staying true to herself, writing:
“Yesssss sis! 😍😍😍”
Aside from fearlessly expressing herself through fashion, Angel Reese displayed the same boldness on the court during her rookie season in the WNBA. She consistently recorded double-doubles, averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds in 34 games, earning an All-Star selection and finishing as the runner-up in the Rookie of the Year voting.
Angel Reese clarifies misconceptions, affirms commitment to offseason training
Angel Reese recently faced criticism for appearing to focus more on posting non-basketball content on social media, leading some to assume she wasn’t dedicating time to improving her game like her WNBA peers during the offseason.
The Chicago Sky standout addressed the comments in a recent episode of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast. In a conversation with her manager Jeanine Ogbonnaya, she responded to those questioning her work ethic.
“People say, ‘Angel, how come you don’t post basketball stuff?,” Reese said (via Sports Illustrated). “How come I have to post in the gym? What about all the other 143 women in the WNBA that don’t post in the gym?”
In addition to the upcoming 2025 WNBA season, Reese is preparing for her participation in the newly established 3-on-3 Unrivaled Basketball League, set to commence its inaugural season on Jan. 17. She is among the 36 WNBA players scheduled to compete in the league co-founded by fellow WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier.
