Mahmoud Charr is set to defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight championship against Kubrat Pulev this Saturday in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
The WBA champion will face off against Pulev in what is expected to be a closely matched battle, with both fighters possessing the power to make it an explosive fight.
After a long absence from the ring due to various reasons, Charr will be returning from over two years of inactivity. He secured a victory against Nuri Seferi in 2022 and is now prepared to put his title on the line.
Meanwhile, Pulev will have the chance to go up against the champion on his home turf and is determined to snatch the belt in this anticipated showdown. The 43-year-old Bulgarian recently defeated Ihor Shevadzutskyi by unanimous decision, adding to his two wins following a loss to Derek Chisora in 2022.
Charr boasts a record of 34 wins, 4 losses, and 20 knockouts, while Pulev has 31 wins, 3 losses, and 14 knockouts.
