One of the most respected figures in women’s basketball is Cheryl Miller.
This was evident when she coached Team WNBA at the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, leading the squad to a 117-109 victory over Cheryl Reeve’s Team USA roster.
While Miller was focused on defeating Team USA, her main priority was ensuring a positive experience for the All-Stars she coached, especially rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.
Miller has always been a supporter of the WNBA’s rookie sensations, as shown by a heartwarming story she shared about Clark during the WNBA’s All-Star Weekend.
During the podcast “Breakthrough Chronicles” with Kevin Ray, Miller revealed, “I hugged her and said, ‘I’m so proud of you. Savor this, use this as a formula, but keep being you.'”
Miller expressed her empathy for the challenges faced by young athletes in today’s social media-driven world.
Cheryl Miller’s support is invaluable, especially for young players like Caitlin Clark.
