Chicago Sky Acquire Two 2025 Draft Picks from Las Vegas

CHICAGO (February 7, 2025) — The Chicago Sky have acquired two 2025 second round draft picks — No. 16 overall (via Washington) and No. 22 overall — from Las Vegas during free agency in exchange for Dana Evans. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We want to thank Dana for her four years with the Sky,” General Manager Jeff Pagliocca said. “We have no doubt that Dana will continue to grow in her career and we will always be grateful for her contributions on and off the court over the years. She will forever be a WNBA Champion and we wish her continued success in Las Vegas.
“Additionally, these two second round draft picks will give us the opportunity to add young, talented players that build on our third and tenth overall picks to significantly strengthen our draft capital in 2025.”
Evans, who the Sky acquired in 2021 from Dallas, played 140 games in a Sky uniform and averaged 6.2 points and 2.0 assists over four seasons.
During the 2024 season, she appeared in 39 games, making 12 starts and averaging 7.2 points and 2.4 assists. She set career highs in games started (12) and knocked down a career-high percentage of 37.6% from beyond the arc. She also scored in double figures in four of the Sky’s final seven games of 2024. In the last 10 games of the year, she averaged 7.7 points while shooting 42.9% from three in 18.7 minutes.
The 2021 WNBA Champion finished third in Sixth Player of the Year voting in 2023 and was named to the 2021 WNBA All-Rookie Team and 2021 AP All-Rookie Team in her first season with the Sky.
The Sky now own the following draft picks in the upcoming 2025 WNBA Draft: first round – third overall, first round – 10th overall (from Connecticut), second round – 16th overall (from Las Vegas via Washington) and second round – 22nd overall (from Las Vegas).

Las Vegas Receives:
Dana Evans (from Chicago – Sign-and-Trade)
