The Kansas City Chiefs have signed linebacker Shaun Bradley and defensive back Jason Taylor to Reserve/Future contracts for 2025, according to Thursday’s NFL transactions report.
Earlier this week, the team released linebacker Blake Lynch from the practice squad and re-signed wide receiver Montrell Washington to fill the spot.
Lynch, who was signed to the practice squad on December 30, played in Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Denver Broncos after being elevated. Washington, who has spent most of the past two seasons on the practice squad, was released to make room for Lynch.
Bradley, 27, was a sixth-round pick for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 NFL Draft. He appeared in 45 games for the Eagles and spent the 2023 season on the Reserve/Injured list. Taylor, 25, was a seventh-round pick for the Los Angeles Rams in 2023 and spent most of the season on the Reserve/Injured list.
A Reserve/Future contract offers a non-guaranteed minimum salary that starts at the beginning of the new league year in March. These players are not eligible for the postseason and whether they will stay with the team until training camp depends on other roster moves. Most of the practice squad players are likely to sign Reserve/Future contracts at the end of the season.
