Chris Bosh made his return to basketball on Saturday, playing for the first time since 2016 when he had to retire due to his blood clot condition. Originally planning to just attend Goran Dragic’s send-off game in Slovenia, Bosh was motivated to actually play after seeing his former Toronto Raptors teammate Rasho Nesterovic on the court.
“When I saw Rasho Nesterovic out there, I thought, ‘Okay, I can go up and down a few times,'” Bosh joked. “Rasho is great, we’re all older now, but those Toronto years brought back memories.”
“I just wanted to share the court. I felt like I had to get out there and have some fun,” Bosh said with a smile.
Bosh had been teammates with Goran Dragic on the Miami Heat before his medical retirement.
