As the rounds went by, Eubank had nothing more than fleeting moments, with Benn outworking him and landing the more telling punches. The pressure from Benn continued as he scored two heavy knockdowns in the final round, with Eubank Jr saved by the final bell. The judges’ scorecards gave it unanimously to Benn, with scores of 119-107, 116-110, and 118-108.

Showing a video of himself in the hospital, Chris Eubank Jr made a statement on his future in boxing:
“I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues over the last year & yeah it all finally caught up to me last month. I will not box again until I’m back to 100% & I don’t know when that will be, but one things for certain… For the fans that have supported me through thick & thin, I will do everything in my power to make sure that one day, the old me makes a big comeback.”
Whether we see Eubank Jr again remains to be seen. He looked finished against Benn, and at times, it was tough to see his decline since the first fight. Is a move to 168 pounds on the cards, or is some time out of the ring and staying at 160 pounds what he needs?
