Last summer TRP & Classified showed us their unique Vistar Powershift wireless electronic road and gravel bike groupset, where you effectively get a 1x 15-speed or 16-speed drivetrain. It combines a tightly-spaced 12-speed TRP cassette shifted by a wireless electronic Vistar rear derailleur over Classified’s 2-speed internally-geared Powershift hub to create a virtual 15 or even 16-speed drivetrain that looks and functions like a 1x setup.
And now, it is finally available and shipping out to the first buyers…

On the outside, the TRP + Classified Vistar Powershift setup looks like a pretty conventional 1×12 dropbar drivetrain. But thanks to the 2-speed planetary gear reduction hidden inside the hub, there are, in fact, 15 or 16 unique gearing combinations. With TRP’s wireless electronic dropbar shifters, you get two shifting options. You either manually shift sequentially through the 24 combos (it is really a 2×12 drivetrain after all), just as if you had a front derailleur.
Or you can use Vistar’s smart QuantumShift function for 15 or 16 “intelligently sequenced gears” that the groupset automatically cycles through as you tap the 1x-style shifters without having to worry about 2x shifting mechanics.

The new TRP Classified Vistar // Powershift groupset is finally available to consumers after a year-long tease. A complete groupset sells for $2900 / 2800€.
That includes a set of TRP Vistar wired shifters, hydraulic disc brakes & wired-in bar end controller, the wireless electronic rear derailleur, carbon 1x crankset with chainring & 12-speed cassette of choice for road or gravel. Additionally, it includes the internally-shifting Classified Powershift hub and Smart thru-axle to be built into your custom rear wheel. And again, then, your choice of road or gravel.
