Coach has signed a multiyear partnership with the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), becoming the league’s official handbag partner as it looks to build deeper brand affinity at the intersection of fashion and sport.
The collaboration will spotlight key cultural moments across the WNBA season and kicked off with the WNBA Draft 2025 presented by State Farm on 14 April at The Shed in New York City. As part of the launch, Coach presented the WNBA draft orange carpet, a red-carpet-style event that welcomed the league’s newest rookies and their game-day fits.
The brand is also working with five standout WNBA prospects, including Paige Bueckers, Hailey Van Lith, Aneesah Morrow, Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron, to share their stories as athletes who bring fashion to the court and beyond.

The move is part of Coach’s broader brand platform, “The courage to be real,” which aims to inspire people to confidently explore all the facets of their identity.
In addition, Coach will also be the presenting partner of WNBA Pride, a platform first launched in 2014 that marked the league as the first pro sports organisation to formally celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. The “Pride is love” content series will return for a third year and be featured on the WNBA app as part of the initiative.
“Coach and the WNBA share a belief in the power of self-expression,” said coach chief marketing officer Joon Silverstein.
“We’re excited to partner with this league, an organisation that uniquely champions individuality, and to support these courageous athletes who are breaking molds both on and off the court, inspiring our audiences to embrace the many possibilities of who they are and who they can be,” added Silverstein.
In tandem, WNBA chief growth officer Colie Edison said that the WNBA sits at the intersection of sport and lifestyle and has always championed players to translate what they do on the court into their own personal style off the court.
“We look forward to joining forces with Coach to inspire fans everywhere to embrace individuality, especially around some of our most anticipated tentpole moments, including the WNBA draft orange carpet and WNBA Pride presented by Coach,” added Edison.
Beyond Pride and the draft, Coach will also serve as an associate partner of AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025, which will be held in Indianapolis. The event is expected to blend fashion, music, culture and sport in a bid to further elevate the league’s lifestyle credentials.
The multi-year partnership comes as the luxury brand expands its presence in the sports and fashion arenas through several notable partnerships.
Just last week, Coach launched its “Not just for walking” campaign featuring WNBA star Satou Sabally, who showcased the brand’s Soho sneaker. The campaign emphasised individuality and bold self-expression, with Sabally embodying her unique “unicorn” energy, the athlete told Instyle.
The campaign also featured other notable athletes such as NASCAR driver Toni Breidinger and American college basketball player Tahaad Pettiford, as well as social media personality Giovanna Ramos and R&B singer and rapper Audrey Nuna.
