Reims, France – Kicking off this Friday in France, the 2024 Master’U BNP Paribas Championship is set to once again bring together many of the top collegiate players from around the world as 30 current and former NCAA student-athletes are set to compete.

Now in its 17th year, the Master’U BNP Paribas Championship is the world event of university tennis and features an eight-nation field of Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Switzerland, and the United States.

Featuring both current and former collegiate athletes, over half the field participating in this year’s event have come through the American university system, as the pathway through college tennis continues to grow stronger and stronger among players from across the globe.

In total, seven of the eight participating countries will feature players who play for or have played for NCAA institutions, including Australia and the United States whose entire roster comes from the American university system.

With many teams comprised of highly-ranked players in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, the 2024 Master’U BNP Paribas Championship field will feature players who have been national champions, national players of the year, and grand slam participants.

These players will all be representing their country in a unique format of play where there will be two women’s singles matches, two men’s singles matches, one women’s doubles match, one men’s doubles match, and one mixed doubles match. The country that wins four of these seven matches is declared the victor and advances in the tournament.

More information surrounding the competition can be found on the Master’U BNP Paribas Championship website.
