Timur Khizriev dominated former PFL featherweight champion Brendan Loughnane to win the 145-pound gold in the main event of the 2024 PFL World Championship.
Khizriev showcased his superiority early on with consistent kicks and secured a takedown to control Loughnane on the ground. He kept up the pressure and stifled Loughnane’s offense throughout the fight.
In the second round, Khizriev continued his striking dominance with precise jabs and powerful combinations. Loughnane briefly found success with a check hook, but Khizriev’s accuracy left him bloodied by the end of the round.
Despite Loughnane’s resilience, Khizriev’s striking and grappling prowess kept him in control of the fight, leading to a convincing victory. The judges scored the fight 49-46 in Khizriev’s favor.
