CS2 is the latest esport to return to the EWC in 2025, following Rainbow Six Siege and Call of Duty. The event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 20th to 24th August, 2025, adding to the busy CS2 calendar. It does not currently clash with any existing events, ending a day before BLAST Open London 2025 begins.
The prize pool for the 2025 event has been increased to $1.25 million, up from $1 million in the previous edition. It will feature 16 teams, all directly invited via the Valve Regional Standings. Prize pool distribution is as follows:
1st Place: $500,000
2nd Place: $230,000
3rd-4th Place: $100,000 each
5th-8th Place: $40,000 each
9th-16th Place: $20,000 each
More games are being announced for the 2025 Esports World Cup each day. Last year, over $60 million was at stake across all esports, so it will be interesting to see the offerings this time around.
