After selecting UConn’s Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in last week’s franchise-shifting 2025 WNBA draft, the Dallas Wings have achieved yet another milestone.
The Wings, which announced KFAA-TV (Channel 29) in Dallas-Fort Worth as their exclusive local broadcast partner in February, have expanded their broadcast reach through additional agreements that will triple the team’s local TV footprint and bring free Wings games to 6.3 million households across 12 markets in 2025.
Agreements with TEGNA, Gray Media and Corridor Television establish the Wings as a WNBA leader in geographic reach and the number of households with access to local broadcasts.
Bueckers, a generational talent who won a national championship with UConn earlier this month, brings her tremendous popularity to Dallas and has already increased interest in the Wings.
“As we prepare for one of the most anticipated seasons in franchise history, we are excited about the opportunity to deliver Dallas Wings basketball into more homes than ever before,” Wings CEO and managing partner Greg Bibb said in a news release. “Our partners at TEGNA, Gray, and Corridor recognize the incredible demand there is to watch our games and have done a fantastic job in helping us secure additional markets to reach even more of our passionate fanbase.”
The Wings announced their 2025 broadcast and streaming schedule, which included 28 regular season games featured on local broadcasts, at the end of March. Well before securing Bueckers in this year’s draft, the Wings sold out season tickets for a second consecutive year.
