The Dallas Wings are one step closer to setting their official roster for the 2025 WNBA season.
The team made two moves over the weekend, waiving guard Mai Yamamoto and guard/forward Madison Scott. The Wings announced the moves Sunday afternoon.
Scott was one of the team’s 2025 draftees. Dallas selected Scott with the 14th overall pick out of Ole Miss. She averaged 11.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, one steal and 0.9 blocks in her final collegiate season.
Yamamoto signed a training camp contract with the Wings this offseason. The Hiroshima, Japan native previously played for the Toyota Antelopes of the Women’s Japan Basketball League.
Both Scott and Yamamoto saw playing time in the Wings’ preseason win over the Toyota Antelopes on Saturday night. Yamamoto scored three points, while Scott came down with a rebound.
