The Wings will have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA DraftGetty Images
The WNBA Dallas Wings announced Thursday that season ticket memberships for the 2025 season have “sold out in record time” — just a few days after the franchise won the WNBA Draft lottery to get the No. 1 overall pick in 2025, which could end up being UConn G Paige Bueckers, according to Steven Rosenbaum of CBSNEWS.com. Just under half of College Park Center’s 6,251 seats are dedicated to season tickets, with the remainder available for single-game sales. The team has a waitlist for fans still interested in season ticket memberships. The 2025 season could also be their last in Arlington after agreeing to play in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas Memorial Auditorium starting in 2026 (CBSNEWS.com, 11/21). Dallas-based WFAA-ABC’s Rachel Behrndt noted premium seating, courtside and suite inventory is also sold out. The Wings’ 2024 sellout was “tentatively attributed to the Caitlin Clark effect,” but this year, the quick sellout “might be attributable to the Paige Bueckers effect” (WFAA.com, 11/21).
