Damian Lillard exited Game 4 of the Milwaukee Bucks’ first round series against the Indiana Pacers in the first quarter with a potentially severe non-contact lower left leg injury. Lillard stayed down on the floor for several moments and needed to be helped off the floor as he couldn’t put weight on his left leg. Chris Haynes reports that the initial fear is that Lillard suffered a left Achilles tear.
Lillard recently returned from a deep vein thrombosis to play in the playoffs. During the 23-24 season, Lillard dealt with an Achilles issue that forced him to miss the end of the Bucks’ playoff run.
Lillard averaged 24.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 24-25.
Lillard has a player option for 26-27 with his contract expiring in 2027. Lillard was set to become extension eligible this offseason with the Bucks.
