Caitlin Clark was Taylor Swift’s surprise guest for Saturday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans. The two were at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer for Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs. The Indiana Fever superstar, a longtime Chiefs fan, sat beside the 14-time Grammy Award-winning artist.

A friend of Kelce shared a few photos of the game on Instagram. Clark appeared in one of the pictures, standing out in her red Chiefs parka surrounded by everyone else wearing black jackets.

Caitlin Clark and Swift had long planned to meet up. The WNBA star attended one of the artist’s concerts and gushed about her performance. Clark, via an IG story, hoped to meet the “Cruel Summer” singer.

The meeting finally happened at Arrowhead Stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs’ home, where Taylor Swift is a staple. Since she started dating Travis Kelce, the superstar tight end, she has been a fixture in Chiefs home games.

Nobody was surprised Swift was at the stadium on Saturday in the Chiefs’ biggest game of the season. Many were pleasantly shocked, though, that the “Shake It Off” hitmaker brought with her Time Magazine’s Athlete of the Year winner.

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 7-0 in divisional playoff games following a 23-14 win against the Houston Texans. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, ensured they returned to the AFC championship game.

In front of Swift, Caitlin Clark and thousands of Chiefs fans, Mahomes threw for 177 yards and one touchdown. Kelce earned 117 yards from seven receptions and one touchdown. The touchdown Mahomes threw to Kelce in the fourth quarter gave the Chiefs a 19-12 lead. Clark, Swift and a sea of red fans erupted in cheers.

Travis Kelce’s 117 yards was his ninth in the playoffs with at least 100 yards, breaking a tie with the legendary Jerry Rice. The tight end also moved closer to two other Rice records. He is 225 yards shy of tying Rice’s 2,245 for most yards in the playoffs. Kelce’s touchdown against the Ravens improved his tally to 20, two fewer than the iconic quarterback’s total for most touchdowns in the playoffs.
