Dana White’s new TKO Boxing promotion is beginning to take shape. Alongside recent news of several fighters that the company may be interested in, the organization’s pay structure has been revealed.

Fighter pay has been a trending topic in combat sports for many years, with fans divided on contracts being too low or just right for the competitors. Every corner of the sporting world will have fans questioning if athletes are being paid too little, but the UFC seems to take the brunt of those concerns from the public.

Despite building from the ground up and elevating itself from obscurity to global fame, many still have a problem with Dana White’s payment structure in the UFC.

Now, those same people will have a lot to say about his new TKO Boxing promotion. Earlier this week, the newly founded powerhouse in the sport reportedly revealed how the names on their roster will be treated.

“The company shall guarantee [boxers] the opportunity to participate in bouts every five months during the term commencing with the first bout, and shall make good-faith efforts to offer [boxers] the opportunity to participate in four bouts during the first year.” [h/t Boxing Scene]

As expected, the higher ranked a fighter is, the more money they will receive.

-$20,000 for a 10-round bout featuring unranked fighters.-$50,000 for fighters ranked between No. 5 and No.10.-$125,000 for fighters ranked at either No. 3 or No. 4.-$375,000 for fighters challenging for a championship.-$750,000 for fighters defending their championship.

The pay structure gives extra incentive to boxers to push toward TKO Boxing gold. Not only will they be given the opportunity to add another championship to their resume, but they will also earn a healthy amount of cash while doing it.

Dana White believes that he can help restore boxing’s legacy and bring back the hype that the sport has struggled to consistently gain over the years.
