Darren Till recently had his first boxing match, and it was quite eventful.
The match was an exhibition and ended abruptly after Till landed a punch to the back of Mohammad Mutie’s head. Following the stoppage, a brawl broke out as Mutie charged at Till. Chaos ensued, with cornermen and officials trying to restore order amidst flying punches.
In the end, Till was declared the winner of the altercation.
After the fight, Till took to Instagram to share his thoughts, saying, “1st one done. Thanks for the support. Not the ending we wanted but some people aren’t real fighters. Next fight 4-8 weeks…”
This competition marked Till’s return to action after his release from the UFC in early 2023. While his long-term plans remain uncertain, it appears that boxing will be his primary focus for the time being.
Till also expressed interest in facing Nate Diaz in a boxing match following Diaz’s recent victory over Jorge Masvidal in Anaheim, Calif.
In a separate Instagram post, Till hinted at a potential matchup with Diaz, saying, “Just thinking… Need a real boxing fight…”
Diaz’s next move in boxing remains uncertain, but he has indicated interest in facing Jake Paul in his next bout. Diaz is currently 1-1 in boxing, with a loss to Paul in 2023.
